Family & safety
The controls a parent holds, and the things this product deliberately does not have.
Last updated
The safest thing about Little Bereans is not a setting you have to find and switch on. It is what the product does not contain. There is no way for a stranger to reach your child here, because there is no mechanism for any user to reach any other user.
These are not options. They are absent from the product, and there is no switch that turns them on:
Some activities ask a child to type an answer or draft a short script. That text is stored in your account and shown to you. It is never published, never shown to another family, and never used for any purpose other than the lesson.
We design the prompts so there is no reason for a child to type personal details, and we ask them not to. Because you can see what they wrote, you can check.
Every lesson is written and reviewed by our team before a child can see it. There is no user-generated content in the curriculum, and no algorithm choosing what comes next. What your child is shown is what we wrote and you assigned. Our doctrinal commitments are set out in What We Believe, and how a lesson is built in Curriculum Approach.
Little Bereans works well with the controls you already use — Screen Time on iOS, Family Link and Digital Wellbeing on Android, and your router or DNS filter. We would rather be one safe app inside a thoughtful household setup than ask you to trust us alone.
If you see something in a lesson that worries you, or anything that looks like a safety problem, write to our contact form. Say which child profile and which lesson, and we will look at it quickly. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
