About
The doctrinal convictions that shape every lesson, question and answer in this product.
Last updated
Our doctrinal statement expresses the biblical convictions that shape each content and resource within the Little Berean. These beliefs keep us tethered to Scripture, reliant on the Spirit, and hopeful in the finished work of Christ.
This statement was last revised on September 18, 2026.
Confessional, gospel-centered theology; practical wisdom for the care of souls; partnership with the local church.
Scripture-Driven Care. We rely on the sufficiency, authority, and clarity of God's Word for counseling that comforts, corrects, and restores. Gospel Hope for Real People. We point strugglers to the person and work of Jesus, trusting that lasting change flows from grace-fueled transformation. Community in the Local Church. We pursue discipleship and accountability within Christ's body, believing growth happens in committed relationships.
We affirm that the Bible is inspired, inerrant, sufficient, and authoritative for all of life and godliness.
We believe the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the very words of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts. Scripture is the final authority for faith and practice and provides everything needed for life, godliness, and Christ-centered counseling.
2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21
God eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-coequal in glory, unified in purpose, perfect in holiness.
We joyfully worship the one true God who exists eternally in three Persons. The Father purposes redemption, the Son accomplishes salvation, and the Spirit applies the finished work of Christ to the hearts of believers, empowering them to walk in obedience.
Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone, apart from human merit or effort.
We believe every person is created in God's image yet corrupted by sin, deserving righteous judgment. Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death, and rose bodily from the grave. All who repent and trust in Him are justified, adopted, and empowered to live in newness of life.
Holding Fast to Truth in Love. We joyfully confess these truths and seek to embody them in every resource, relationship, and conversation. We invite you to lock arms with us as we walk together in the light of God's Word, resting in Christ and relying on His Spirit.
Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:1-2
Biblical counseling is a ministry of the local church that applies Scripture to life for the glory of God and the good of His people.
We affirm that wise, loving, Scripture-rich conversations belong in the context of the church. Counseling is discipleship that helps believers and seekers apply God's Word to real suffering and sin with humility, patience, and hope in Christ's sufficient grace.
Colossians 1:28; Romans 15:14
We publish this in full because you should be able to check it before you hand us any part of your child’s discipleship. If something here is unclear, or you think a lesson has departed from it, write to our contact form and a person will engage with it seriously.
How these convictions shape the material itself is described in Curriculum Approach.
