The agreement between your family and Little Bereans.
Last updated
These terms are the agreement between your family and ZO Tech LLC for the use of Little Bereans, on this website and in our apps. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in secure, and keep each child’s Kid Code private — a Kid Code opens that child’s learning space to whoever has it.
Tell us at our contact form if you believe someone else has gained access to your account.
Little Bereans provides Bible study, catechism, Scripture memory, reading and writing practice, and wisdom lessons for children, together with tools for a parent to assign and follow that work.
We may add, change or withdraw features. If we withdraw something your family depends on, or discontinue the service, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
Your use of Little Bereans is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: use it for your own family’s discipleship, do not try to break it, and do not redistribute what is inside it.
The lessons, questions, artwork, avatars, software and design of Little Bereans belong to us or to our licensors, and are protected by copyright. We grant your family a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them for your own household’s learning while your account is open. That licence does not allow copying the curriculum for a class, a co-op, a church programme or resale without our written permission.
Bible text is used under licence from its publishers and is subject to their terms. See Bible Translation & Copyright Notices.
Your family’s own material — a child’s written answers, your notes, your voice recordings — remains yours. You grant us only the permission we need to store it, show it back to your family, and keep the service running. We do not use it to train models, and we do not publish it.
Little Bereans is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans, the terms are set out in our Subscription & Billing Policy, and we will not begin charging an existing family without clear advance notice and a choice to decline.
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy and, for children, the Children’s Privacy Notice. Both form part of this agreement.
You may stop using Little Bereans and delete your account at any time, from Data & Account Deletion.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where we must to protect a child or comply with the law. Except where the breach is serious or unlawful, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to put it right first.
Little Bereans is a discipleship and education tool for use by families. It is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
It is not counselling or professional advice. Nothing in Little Bereans is medical, psychological, legal or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for the care of your church, a qualified counsellor, or a doctor. If a child is in danger or in crisis, contact your local emergency services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data or lost profits. Our total liability arising out of the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$100. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will email the parent on the account at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you may close your account.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
