The small number of cookies we set, all of them needed to keep you signed in.

We set only the cookies needed to keep you signed in.
No advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no third-party trackers. That is why you are not being asked to accept anything.
When you sign in, our authentication provider sets cookies that keep you signed in as you move between pages, and refreshes them so you are not logged out mid-task. Without these, signing in would not work.
When a child enters their Kid Code, we set a signed session cookie that scopes their access to their own learning space and nothing else. It is what stops a child’s browser reaching parent settings or another child’s work.
Some screens remember a small preference locally in your browser — a chosen tab, for example. This never leaves your device and is not a cookie sent to us.
Cookie consent law in the UK and EU requires consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary. Every cookie we set is strictly necessary to deliver a service you have asked for — signing in, and keeping a child in the right space. Because we set nothing beyond that, there is nothing to ask you to opt into. If that ever changes, we will ask first.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them for this site will stop sign-in from working, for you and for your children, because the session cannot be kept. Signing out clears the session cookies immediately.
Ask us anything about this at our contact form. The full list of companies involved in running the service is on our Third-Party Services page.
