How to export or delete a child profile, or the whole account.
Last updated
You can remove a child, or your whole family, whenever you decide. This page tells you exactly how, what happens to the data, and how long it takes. Nothing here requires a phone call or a reason.
In the parent dashboard, open the child’s profile and choose to remove them.
What happens immediately. The profile is deactivated. It disappears from your dashboard and from Kid Login, their Kid Code stops working, and no assignment can reach them.
Why it is not erased instantly.Their history is held rather than destroyed, so that a removal made by mistake can be undone and so a child’s work is not lost in a moment of tidying up.
To erase it outright, write to our contact form naming the child profile. We erase it within 30 days and confirm when it is done.
In the Little Bereans app, open Profile → Account and choose Delete my account. You can withdraw the request in the same place until it is carried out. Or write to our contact form from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it; we confirm it is really you, then delete.
Deleting also cancels your family plan, so nothing more is charged.
This removes:
It is done within 30 days and usually much sooner, and we email you when it is finished. Deletion is permanent — we cannot restore an account afterwards, so export anything you want to keep first.
Ask us at our contact formfor an export and we will send a machine-readable file containing your account details, each child’s profile, their progress and everything they wrote, plus your voice recordings. We provide it within 30 days, free of charge.
Deleted records are removed from our live systems straight away. Our hosting provider keeps encrypted backups on a rolling schedule for disaster recovery, and deleted data ages out of those within 30 days. Backups are never used to repopulate a deleted account.
After deletion we may retain a minimal record where the law requires it or where we must be able to show we acted properly — for example, the fact that an account was deleted and when. This contains no child’s personal information and is not used for any other purpose.
Ordinary server security logs age out on their normal schedule.
Deleting your account removes your data from our systems whichever app you used. Removing the app from a device does not delete your account — ask us, as above. If you ever subscribed through an app store, cancel that subscription in your store account as well; see Subscription & Billing.
Deletion is one of several rights you hold over your family’s information. The full list, and how to use it, is in the Privacy Policy and the Children’s Privacy Notice.
